YEP! Smart man, thats why I mentioned it in the video. The trick to MAKE it as flashy though is the phone capability's itself, the clockrate, ROM and a few other various tweaks. A common misconception is thats it is a VNC client, which its not really. A straight VNC has no real ability do do games, trust me I ran around and around the issue for a week before dropping that aproach. This is a "cheat" in a way, that in a simple form records the screen itself, like a easily compressed and streamed MPG movie, then send you THAT, and controls are overlayed on top and then applied client and server side. Thus far irts the ONLY reliable way to more-or-less actually play your PC games on a phone remotely. I have even tried to install a full Debian install on one droid, but while it works its still not up to snuff for anything post DOOM and Quake running natively and less so via WINE outside productivity applications like OpenOffice etc. Its just a hobby/game for me really, i like to see how hard I can push a given phone phone like this and what constitutes "playable" on it in different games. EvE is perfectly non-pvp playable for example, and this method is honestly VERY useful even over 3g for market deals, hauling, etc. Not so much so in a game like MO where its more of a FPS than a MMO in alot of ways. So i keep hammering away, ill see what more I can do with MO via this method in the next few days, I literally just made this video like an hour ago. EDIT: If anybody is interested let me know I can post some more optimization for gaming experements ive been working on. Its possible to hit max refresh rate on the droid screen gaming with this method in most games but it does require a bit..ok a lot...of fiddling both phone and client side for maximum usability and speed.
You should be able to use TeamViewer as well which is free iirc. Been meaning to setup TV on my G1 so I can check the status of my job while I'm away from my PC. Otherwise, cool vid. Gotta love that Android.

RE: Battery life: For most smartphones, the LCD or screen is by far the heaviest user of battery juice. In android systems its as high as 90% just looking at a blank screen. Anything that keeps the screen on will eat up more juice, and Wi-Fi or 3g on top of that even more so. With that said running a Ultra Low Voltage high clock speed kernel has boosted my battery life so much I can go 8 hours with 3g/wifi left on and use any and all apps I want through out the day with no fear of running dry unless i go seriously insane. Life of course varies by your useage habits, custom ROM, cpu Kernel you flashed and settings
Definitely viable for harvesting or trading from the bus over 3g though. You won't be able to escape PvP from this setup, but the ability to hit the bank and start the next book from your phone is kinda neat.
Over 3g its kinda a slideshow, but it CAN work like you said for basic selling, auto=-Harvesting for sure, and books. If anything despite slow 3g performance this setup is NICE when it comes to harvesting on the go. If anybody would like to de me a favor, I need someone with an EVO4g phone to try this under 4g service, as I dont have one myself yet im curious what the practical differences are (not inflated numbers on a sales site) but the true latency of a game running on 4g is. As of this moment I am seriously getting kicked in the shins by my wife to keep me from buying a Droid X. I want to....really really bad as id love to be the one to get first time root on it but ill get pwned by the woman Regardless to droid X adopters today, I can just about guarantee root in 45 days or less, and a potential overclock approaching 1.6ghz. Higher may be possible (2ghz being my personal goal) but I dont know till I have one in my hands and the intestines revealed to me.
