Just another newbie question to follow - how many silver would 1g be? Like 100? And when a book costs like 1g, can I then somehow pay with silver coins?

Im pretty sure you have to convert the gold into silver in order for the booksellers to sell you the books

When you go to a vendor you can convert copper, silver, and gold to anything amount you want.
