Hey all, haven't played in a few years and wanted to inquire about some stuff for me and a friend.
Necromancy? Any master necromancer want to explain it or direct me somewhere.
Towns? Which non tindrem towns are popping?
Fat Mages? Coastguard was my favorite character and want to know their place currently.
Spears? I was a baddy so I used spears, how are they?
Meta fighter race/build/gear for the average economy. Not cronite oghmium.

What are your necromancy related questions?

Like book costs, mats, time to level, what it actually is, and if it's useless or useful or just fun?

cost varies from a few hundred, to maybe a few K for the higher end ones. its basically a mix of spells but focuses on summoning, ranging from jsut some skellies and zombies, to frankenstein-crafted things that can be well worth it if you know the combo. but it is a money sink unless you plan to hunt for all those yourself.

i think other than tind, bakti is doing alright. they have done alot of tweak and fixes on the weapons. weakspot is much different from what i remember a year or two ago. but we do have more weapon heads now.

Fat mages good as ever. Better even with death hamd (necro spell) and mental projectile.
Spear and sheild is still pretty op. No ws though.
Pansar and maalite or steel spear and sheild is a pretty good set.
    Bakti is pretty busy
The new armor types from the animal trophy guy are pretty op

What about armor types and mats for the average joe?

If you’re referring to population density, Fabernum (at least the last time I visited) is probably the most popular town for player houses and guild keeps. From the meadow hills down where the stream is to the eastern plateau, it’s quite crowded with occupied real estate.

Just watch out for the keep next to the mountains next to Tindrem’s eastern gate, you have mercenary mages with kill-on-sight orders anyone passing through, and giant mountain spiders on the mountain pass which you’ll have to either kill or out-run.

Also, the latest magic school Elementalism allows the player to turn thunderstorms, lightning bolts and other natural forces into weapons.

How is all that, in same terms and questions as necromancy?

Farm up some plate scales, ironsilk and buy a couple stacks or maalite and you can have a average tier fighter for very little time and cost

I have tons of hornscales from old mage armor is that useable? And what armor styles are good currently?

  16. Lacdanon

    Lacdanon Honored Member

Horned scales will let you down a little because a lot of people using spears, platesxale draco suits aren't bad, honestly if you are just looking to pvp and want to stick to your old areas (around fab/Kran) horned scale is probably not too bad just keep it under 10 weight so you don't take max fall damage (I can't remember if you were still around when they changed that)

  17. Vodkawolf

    Vodkawolf Member

Yeah I remember the fall damage changes. So no metal plate armor then?

Steel is not worth, the protect vs less stam regen is bad.
    Tung or higher is fine

Oh and Incisium is the new molarium
