Why does everyone who makes a jadeite/maalite sword think they are impressing people and doing something new.

Ever heard of a Nightblade? Yeah, it's been done before.

you're vastly exaggerating it's stats and abilities as well, they DO NOT hit as hard as cronite, ESPECIALLY on against armor. additionally, they lose damage at 50% durability just like every other weapon, dont be stupid.

This sword is nothing new lol. It's actually so old horses were still enjoyable to ride when I first used one.

^ It's not only nothing new, it's also being grossly oversold.

    Good memories man.

    Good memories.

Their pretty close to cronite against naked or pigs... but they lose dmg quickly vs decent armor. As does jadeite. (I believe avgly, plate scale n above hardness like incis, is where they start really falling off)

Off topic sidenote... Hybreeze, awesome siggy. Teroh's work?

Yea, no at 15g. 6-10 maybe. Done a lot of testing with these myself and not worth 15g at all.

Yep, cause again... 50% dura is when it starts falling off not counting the other stuff. With a damage handle that adds dura, then maybe.

I will purchase 20 of these in fab for 5g per.

    SE only please.

    Also what is the weight?

Not sure he knows the SE

Dont usually quote myself haha but it was the Niteblades I was referring to. That nice little house near Vadda where noobies could buy viable weapons cheaply. Thanks for the memories Thor.

Made it myself while i was bored, ty though! :)

Cheers! I enjoyed helping run that shop with Warchild and Nite. Great locale.

As for these swords, there is no reason to not revive the market. This type of sword is a great option for many players.

there is definatly still a market, i can see incoming sales.
  16. Jordan Ellis Member

SE lol , they can average from 1.3-1.7 depending on style and dura. and that range being usefull
  17. Diphling The Desperado

Find me how much strength one that is 1.3 requires and how much damage it does on platescale/ironsilk khurite splinted, and i'll be a sure buyer :p

I would say Maalite Swords would be for either ganking squads, like someone already mentioned, or "low-end" players that haven't got the gold or resources otherwise to use cronite and are looking for pvp.

There should defo be a market for these swords. There was in the pasat when Warchild and Thor sold in ourside Vadda, why not now? The game hasn't changed that much... :)

I would sell these at 12-15g each. With the current inflation thanks to the butchery mechanic, these swords should not be sold for less than 10g. I would tell a buyer to .... off if he offered 5g, personally. ;)

EDIT: meh, didn't see the page 2, and I basically repeat everything that has been said. Anyways... yeah 12-15g each. That would leave the cafter at a profit of ~30g per. 1k maalite.

At 15g, you may as well use steel if you don't have the gold or resources to use cron. You will be burning through these things with the dura.

Why should someone pay 15g for a sword that is going to break in 1 fight, when I can just buy a steel that will last 3x as long for the same price?

I'd also like to remind you that maalite is a byproduct.
